Purchased from an UNAUTHORISED seller of Makita via the internet was a so-called Makita 3.0ah Lithium-ion battery for approximately $160.00 including GST.

All looked good, but this battery lacked power and had a very short run time between charges. Upset by this the user finally ate humble pie and took it to an Authorised Makita Service Agent, who subsequently computer tested it and found it to be sadly lacking in amperage and run time.

Why, all was revealed as seen in the above photos, part of the genuine article price equals only part of the battery as clearly can be seen, only one layer of cells and then POLYSTYRENE packing.
